There are four special cards in Truco, known as cartas bravas  (wild cards) and these are the highest in the pack. The rank of these cards, from highest to lowest, are: ace of swords (espadilla), ace of clubs (bastillo), seven of swords and seven of coins (wild sevens).

Truco, a variant of Truc, is a trick-taking card game originally from Valencia and the Balearic Islands, popular in South America and Italy. It is usually played using a Spanish deck. Two people may play, or two teams of two or three players each.

An all new mode called 'Hostiles' has been added, in which the player is pitted against 4 different waves of enemies. Nihilistic has confirmed that a Zombies mode would not be included with the game at launch. During Gamescom 2012, when Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified was shown, the graphics were criticized.

In Der Riese as well as all of Black Ops, Black Ops II, and Black Ops III there can only be 24 zombies on the map at one time, with new ones respawning as the ones currently present are killed.
